This September, our team joined the ribbon cutting ceremony for The Woodhaven, a recently completed multi-family apartment building in Rego Park, Queens. This building brings 120 new affordable apartments for New Yorkers across a range of incomes, including 18 units for formerly homeless households.

Replacing a former auto-body shop, the project involved an upzoning to allow for a medium-density residential development and a site remediation through New York State’s Brownfield Cleanup Program.

The project was partially financed under the City’s Extremely Low and Low-Income Affordability Program (ELLA) and marks the first development in NYC to use the MBE Guaranty Facility, helping MBE developers access the capital needed to finance affordable housing projects across New York City.
